The Making Friends material was co-authored by Bill Mowry and Tyler Flynn. Bill and Tyler also are co-presenters of the Making Friends seminar.

Bill is a veteran staff member with The Navigators and has nearly thirty years of experience in helping others reach and disciple people where they live, work, or play. He serves with The Navigators' Church Discipleship Ministry and is passionate about helping people share Jesus' good news in thoughtful, innovative, and biblical ways.

Bill is a published author in the areas of leadership, education, evangelism and discipleship. He holds an MA in adult education from The Ohio State University. He and his wife Peggy have two adult sons.

Tyler served as the pastor of three churches over twenty-nine years. During that period he led his congregations in a variety of evangelism endeavors, from personal evangelism to area-wide events with other churches. Since 2000 he has served as minister-at- large with Mission Columbus, a city-reaching ministry that is mobilizing churches to address major spiritual and social needs in Columbus, OH.

Tyler is a graduate of Hamilton College and he received the M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife Letha have three adult children and three grandchildren.
