Here are some ideas that Making Friends churches and groups have found to be
fruitful and some ideas of our own.
Preach a message/series on reaching out to pre-Christians prior to the seminar.
Launch Making Friends seven-week small groups after the seminar and use the
Making Friends material in existing small groups.
Devote fifteen minutes of every small group meeting for members to share about
their progress in relationship-building and to pray for their lost friends.
Have a "casual month" when people are encouraged to get to know someone who's
only an acquaintance.
Follow a casual month with a "social month" when people are encouraged to do
something socially with a pre-Christian.
Offer Making Friends mentors to those wanting personal coaching or accountability.
Feature a monthly Making Friends testimony in the worship service.
Email Making Friends testimonies/stories to the congregation.
Have a golf league for members of your church and their pre-Christian friends.
